about me

Hello! My name is Grace and I’m so glad you found my site! From fairytales and children's shows to plays and off-Broadway workshops, I'm in love with all things performance! Originally from York, Pennsylvania, my performing career began with dance when I was 3 years old (my ribbon dance to Colors of The Wind is still legendary to this day). By 13 I was singing soprano with two choirs and my love for music was growing fast. But it wasn’t until my debut in my local high school's production of Legally Blonde that I discovered the magic of musical theatre—and I was immediately hooked. I mean, it combined two of my favorite things, how could I NOT love it?! So in 2018 I made the big move to NYC! Over the years I’ve gotten to experience theatre in its many varied facets, from immersive performances, to being a stagehand, theatre camp counselor, choreographer, backstage dresser, and even Assistant Directing an all teen production of Our Town.

Between stage performances, classes, catering, and musical theater camp counseling, I’m a devoted plant mom, and constantly on the hunt for creative outlets. From reading and writing to embroidery, calligraphy, and painting, I love all things artsy. In all my other spare time I’m listening to my favorite records (yay vinyl resurgence!) or watching Pride & Prejudice, When Harry Met Sally, and Avatar: The Last Airbender for the 100th time.

For all things I draw inspiration from my creative family of fine artists, writers, bakers, and macrame creators, as well as the wonderful musical theatre writers, composers, dancers, and singers who have come before me. I am continually blessed by the many adventures and friendships that theatre and art has brought into my life!

"Last but not least, is Grace Atherholt, as Nina. Nina is literally 'the sweet girl next door'. Atherholt emphasizes the character's youth, innocence, and kindness, which makes her an instant enemy of Masha."

-Rich Mehrenberg, Broadway World on
Gretna Theater's Vanya and Sonya and Masha and Spike

Let's start with Ariel, the courageous headstrong little mermaid played by Actress Grace Atherholt who commands attention from the moment she enters the stage. Her pitch perfect voice and delivery of "Part of Your World" not only captures Prince Eric (...) but the entire audience who falls in love with her."

- Dave Elias, NBC2 on The Little Mermaid at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre

"Major kudos to Grace Atherholt as Ariel. Not only does she have a sweet, pure voice. She executes the physical demands of the role with aplomb. Every child in the audience, and more than a few adults, gasped as she was lifted off the stage to "swim" gracefully through her watery home"

-Fran Thomas, Broadway World on
Broadway Palm's  The Little Mermaid

Noted as a standout performance for Anybodys by both the Herald Bulletin and Greenfield Reporter.
